My sister, my mom and I were watching a documentary last sunday, it was about how most Filipinos have no idea where mostly known streets or main roads are named after.

After the documentary my sister commented that if there’s more than half a million Filipinos using LRT and MRT everyday, why don’t they add information about where the stations got its name, it will go something like this:

“Susunod na po ang Betty Go - Belmonte Station. Si Betty Go - Belmonte po ay ang founder ng Philippine Star, siya rin po ang yumaong may bahay ni House of Representatives and Speaker of the House, Sonny Belmonte.”

She’s got a point, if the regular passengers of these trains hear this everyday then most likely they will remember these information and they will be less clueless on who are those important persons that contributed a lot to our country.
